The late Whitney Houston’s music career is due to be commemorated on a new greatest hits album, “I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston.” The RCA Records effort, described in a press release from the label as the “first ever, definitive single disc” hits package, will feature 18-songs and is due Nov. 13 in the U.S.
It includes all 11 of her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles and all but one of her eight chart-toppers on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. (The only absent No. 1 R&B hit is “Heartbreak Hotel,” featuring Faith Evans and Kelly Price.)
“I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston,” will be the diva’s second greatest hits album released in America. It follows the 36-track “Whitney: The Greatest Hits,” which was issued in 2000.

“Sparkle,” Whitney Houston’s final movie, grossed $12 million at the box office, according to estimates provided by the film’s distributor TriStar/Sony. The tally was on the low end of expectations.
The musical film, which co-stars Jordin Sparks, is expected to be No. 5 at the box office when the final numbers for the weekend are released Monday. It opened on 2,244 screens, grossing $4.5 million on Friday and $200,000 less on Saturday.

Brandy’s follow-up to 2008’s “Human” will drop on Aug. 28, the singer announced via Twitter this week. The tweet, which has since been deleted (although the message is still viewable on her Facebook page), read simply “Two Eleven 8/28.”
The “Two Eleven” album title is a reference to the month and date of her birthday and also a tribute to Whitney Houston, who passed away on Feb. 11, 2012.
Brandy’s RCA debut includes “Put It Down,” featuring Chris Brown, which climbed 74-58 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It also features “It All Belongs to Me,” her first track with Monica since the pair teamed up for their 1998, “The Boy Is Mine,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The album also touts contributions from Bangladesh, Frank Ocean, Rico Love, Sean Garrett, Hit-Boy and more.

Ok, admittedly, I don’t watch Glee but I tuned in last night to catch the WHITNEY HOUSTON tribute episode. I must say, they didn’t disappoint. A couple performances were shaky but come on, we’re talking Whitney.. I say BRAVO! xo @RozOonTheGo

Oprah Winfrey has landed an interview with Whitney Houston’s daughter and other family members for a TV special that will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network. “Oprah’s Next Chapter” will feature an interview with 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina, Houston’s only child. It will also include Patricia Houston, who’s the singer’s sister-in-law and manager, as well as the singer’s brother Gary. It is scheduled to air March 11. The superstar was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Feb. 11. An exact cause of death has yet to be determined.
