2013 CMT Awards Recap: Carrie Underwood + Miranda Lambert Win Big!
Carrie Underwood took home the top prize winning Video Of The Year for “Blown Away”. It’s Underwood’s 10th CMT trophy, making her the top-winner in the show’s 12-year history! And moving along, Miranda Lambert continued her winning streak, taking home trophies for Performance Of The Year (‘Over You’) and Female Video Of The Year (‘Mama’s Broken Heart’). TAYLOR SWIFT has released her 3rd Fragrance - ‘Taylor’!
This pop-country singer has her plate filled already with music, partnering with Keds and being the face of the Diet Coke campaign; but clearly she’s okay with making room for more! The new perfume follows her successful scents Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted. However, with this fragrance, she says it focuses less on the magical world and more on her personal style.
“My first two fragrances were more about fairytales,” Taylor told StyleWatch. “But this fragrance is more about my own style, so I wanted the name to be more personal.”
What does it smell like?
Taylorsays that Taylor is “a mix of a lot of things: It’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in. It’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume.”
It definitely is a mix of things that I like, so I’ll check it when I go to Sephora!

So, who leads the finalists at this years event? Taylor Swift, fun. and Maroon 5! Each of them are included in, get this, 11 categories! Your beloved Rihanna is in 10 categories. The icon that is PRINCE will be honored at the ceremony with the Billboard Icon Award! That’s so fetch!

VIDEO: TAYLOR SWIFT ‘DIET COKE’ COMMERCIAL
I actually saw this commercial on television last night and found it to be a first major celebrity endorsement for a diet soda in a long time. Or is it for the first time? In any case, I don’t drink soda, but I think it’s cool that they did a major campaign for a diet soda that is supposed to be essentially better than ‘regular’ soda. I have no idea rather it is or not, I just like the idea of them putting a major push behind a presumably ‘healthier’ brand! The ‘Suit & Tie’ guy has been announced as one of the performers at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards next weekend! The announcement was made today (1/30) that JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE joins the list of other performers: Elton John, Jack White, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Mumford & Sons, the Lumineers, fun., The Black Keys, Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert! Let’s hope the Jigga man makes a special appearance! LL Cool J will return to host the festivities!
