Grammy Winner FRANK OCEAN Deep Into NEW Album!

Ok, so Frank Ocean’s apparently been hard at work on his follow-up to Channel Orange. He spoke with BBC Radio recently revealing that he’s “like 10, 11 songs” deep into the project. “It’s another cohesive thing, bordering on a concept record again,” said Ocean. “At the end of Channel Orange, there’s ‘Golden Girl,’ and it’s this beach scene.  And I kind of want it to extend that feel into the next record all together, kind of make it that theme.”

He told the station that he plans to rent a place in the beautiful Bora Bora to continue working on the new album after he was to leave London“I put a studio in my house but it’s all in road cases,” said Ocean. “I’m going to take it all to the beach … and work for a few weeks.” I personally can’t wait for his follow up album and being that he won a Grammy for ‘Best Urban Contemporary Album’ my peers and his fans may be eager as well! Bora Bora is a beautiful place so I’m sure he’ll have loads of inspiration. xo @rozOonThego

Sidenote: Did you notice that I introduced him differently since he won the grammy? Ha!

Congratulations to Frank for his Grammy Nods and wins! Did you guys catch the NY Times write-up on Ocean? Well, check an excerpt from the article below. Interesting read. xo Roz-O!
Frank Ocean did not want to ride in my rented Ford Fusion; that much was clear. After I parked the car, he met me outside his modernist apartment building in Los Angeles and led me to the garage where he rents three parking spots for three different BMWs. He was dressed casually — gray hoodie, jeans, high-top Vans with red laces, baseball cap — and he jumped lightly from the curb to the parking blocks as we walked toward his late-model blue BMW M3. Ocean no longer had driving privileges as a result of some recent violations, on top of which he was cited for marijuana possession a few weeks earlier. “You can drive,” he said, though I could tell that it was killing him.

Side note: “On the 2013 Grammy red carpet, Frank told Billboard that he’s “knee-deep in the next record. [I’m] just taking my time with it.” Just days ago producer Om’Mas Keith, who worked closely with Ocean on “Orange,” revealed to Billboard that Ocean notified him that they’ll be working soon.” via Billboard

Tune Into The 55th GRAMMYs Tonight 8/7c Only On CBS!

February 3, 2013
LET’S BE CLEAR .. NO ONE but those on the scene know what happened. In any case, singer FRANK OCEAN issued a statement via his Tumblr page regarding the alleged ‘altercation with CHRIS BROWN.’
“As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer, I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”
I wish both of the VERY talented artists nothing but the BEST + continued SUCCESS! xo @rozOonThego

FRANK OCEAN Songs Featured On GOSSIP GIRL!

Five tracks from ‘Channel Orange’ made television debut….

Many of the tracks on Frank Ocean’s breakthrough album Channel Orange take a critical eye to the lives of young, wealthy and reckless Los Angelenos, so it makes sense that Gossip Girl would look to him to soundtrack the fictional exploits of New York City’s most debauched kids. Now, five songs from Channel Orange appeared on last nights episode, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The episode, titled “Monstrous Ball,” will aired Monday; it marks both the first time that Gossip Girl has used a single artist’s music throughout an entire episode and the first time that Ocean’s music has appeared in a television series. Clips from “Lost,” “Super Rich Kids,” “Pyramids,” “Sweet Life” and “Thinkin Bout You” were featured.

I forgot to post this article yesterday so I had to edit it a bit RS staff! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to watch this episode because I was deep into Monday Night Football! I’ll watch it online this evening! xo @RozOonTheGo
