Films by GREEN DAY & SNOOP DOGG To Be Screened @ SXSW!

According to Billboard, 'SXSW will screen the world premieres of two films about Billie Joe Armstrong and Green Day as well as films about the racial mix in the 1960’s Chicago blues world, Burning Man.’ In addition, they’ll screen Dave Grohl’s ’ Sound City’ along with 109 other feature films between March 8 and 16 in Austin as part of the 20th anniversary festival.’ I think it’s pretty cool that the lineup features 68 films from first-time filmmakers! That’s a lot of films, but I’ll definitely try to take in as many of the music-related documentaries as I can while in town! Check out the full article here. xo @rozOonTheGo

JAY-Z, Steve Stoute To Document ‘Made In America’ Festival:

Jay-Z is bringing his ‘Made in America’ festival to the big screen. Jay-Z and Steve Stoute, both co- producers, will work in tandem with Oscar-Awarding winning duo, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, to document the two-day festival and its 40-plus performers.

"The festival showcases 20 pre-eminent artists that speak to the new generation," Grazer told the New York Post about the project. “I am producing the film with Steve Stoute and Jay. Ron is directing. It is going to be born through Jay-Z’s perspective… how he puts the event together.”

While Jay-Z has yet to release a statement on the upcoming film, Grazer believes documenting the festival will solidify the Brooklyn-native as the phemon he’s grown to become throughout the ages.

"Jay stayed the king for a very long time… I can’t even begin to explain how he is capable of remaining relevant. He is a phenom, like a musical Michael Jordan."

'Made in America' will be held in Philadelphia on September 1 and 2. As of date, DrakePearl JamRun-DMCSkrillexRick RossMiike SnowOdd Future and Janelle Monáe are among the top-billers scheduled to perform.
