FUNNY VIDEO: DEMI LOVATO YELLS OUT THE WINDOW TO BEN STILLER
Just in case you guys are still wondering why I love Demi so much … she’s so real! During a recent trip to NYC she saw Ben Stiller on the streets as she drove by. What does she do? Promote her album that’s what! She shouted from her car telling fans to go out and buy her album, while doing so she spotted the funny guy Ben Stiller and screamed, “Ben Stiller, buy my new album on iTunes! It’s out now, it’ll give you a heart attack.” Thatta a girl! She tickled herself so much, screaming “F-ck Yeah!” to her friends afterwards.
I wonder if Stiller went to iTunes and got the album! Ha! xo Follow @rozOonTheGo
‘PRETTY LITTLE LIARS’ Star SHAY MITCHELL Says ‘I Used To Starve Myself.
You read right, the cover girl for SELF Magazines June 2013 issue opens up about her body struggles. Thankfully, she no longer has these weight struggles and she looks at herself in a ‘whole new light. She tells SELF, “Being beautiful doesn’t mean being skinny. It’s about being healthy.” I totally agree!
I love that celebrities that young girls look up to are speaking out about their struggles. It shows their ‘realness’ and it helps others to seek help. So I salute Shay and Demi Lovato is another chick in Young Hollywood that I have a strong respect for. The Canadian-native says she eats healthy, but she likes to indulge every once in a while! Check out a few more quotes below. The issue hits the stands soon! xo @rozOonTheGo
“I’d starve myself for a day, and the next day I was hungry, tired and miserable,” she recalls her younger days living in Hong Kong. ”When I felt so bad about not being able to fit into size 0 jeans, I realized I had to make a change.”
“I live thinking, ‘If today’s my last day, what’s gonna make me happiest?’ And I do those things,” Mitchell continues about her new outlook in life. “I want to try different foods and enjoy myself, not starve myself to reach a number on the scale.”
Yes, I’ve heard her name throughout the Industry for her songwriting skills, She dropped a pretty hot mix-tape titled ‘KING ME’ last year that has been resurrected. I’m listening to it now and so far, so good! I’ll be watching this chick! With people like Industry greats TIMBALAND + MISSY ELLIOTT on her team she has a good chance of winning! Download her mix-tape here and check out some background below.
“Lyrica Anderson started her music career at a young age. She’s collaborated with numerous artists like Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Britney Spears & Demi Lovato. Soooo what do you guys/gals think about Demi’s new single? It’s no skyscraper, but I like it. She’s dealt with and is dealing with so much that I’m looking for some deeper records from her. Having said that, it’s great to mix it up and as a ‘creative’ it’s a must. I just know that she has a voice (platform) that her fans relate to and I’d love for her to use it in her music! xo @rozOonTheGo
Demi’s a fighter in so many ways! Check out her footwork! The ‘Skyscraper’ singer showed up to the Topshop Topman LA Opening Party rocking this new accessory with a huge smile on her face. The UK Brand is opening up a second USA location, which I’m excited about! I love Topshop! Other celebs in the building were: Kim Kardashian, Chris Brown, Solange and Jennifer Lopez! xo @rozOonTheGo
I commend Demi for so many reasons! I’m looking forward to her album that’s dropping this year and her new single ‘Heart Attack’ dropping on March 4th! Her openness about such sensitive subjects shows strength and it gives those suffering from what she’s struggling with hope! So, I salute you Demi! Keep going! xo @rozOonThego
“For a while, I could tell that, when people would talk to me, they knew my story,” Lovato says in the 32-second clip, referencing her past personal struggles that included a battle with an eating disorder. “I think I’ve opened up more on this album. My life began to evolve, and I started to grow.”
I applaud DEMI LOVATO for vowing to put an end to bullying by becoming an ambassador for Secret’s “Mean Stinks” campaign, encouraging girls to “gang up for good” to end bullying in schools. She’s spotted with students from the Young Women’s Leadership School in New York city on Thursday where she happily participated in a Drama Free School Year assembly. I love this! xo @RozOonThego
To help, Secret will donate $1 (up to $150,000) from the purchase of every Mean Stinks Clinical Strength deodorant to the cause. Learn more about the program on Secret’s Facebook page.
The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards nominations are out, and Rihanna and Drake are leading the pack with five nods each. Last year’s big winner Katy Perry isn’t far behind, with four nominations.
Rihanna has two chances to win for Video of the Year: she’s nominated both for her hit “We Found Love” and for her duet with Drake, “Take Care.” Others in the category include Katy Perry, who took home the top prize “Firework” last year and is up this year for “Wide Awake”; Gotye for his Hot 100 champ “Somebody That I Used To Know”; and M.I.A. for her comeback single “Bad Girls.”
Another stacked category is the Best New Artist showdown, which features a pair of boy bands (One Direction and The Wanted), two Hot 100 toppers (fun. and Carly Rae Jepsen), and R&B It guy Frank Ocean, whose Odd Future compatriot, Tyler, The Creator, took the prize last year. Ocean’s “Swim Good” will compete with Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” Drake’s ‘Take Care,” Chris Brown’s “Turn Up The Music” and Usher’s “Climax” in the R&B-heavy Best Male Video category (and yes, Drizzy and Breezy will square off in that one once again).
“The Twilight Saga” is gonna need a bigger garage. It was announced at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards that the supernatural franchise has won 41 surfboard-shaped trophies since 2008, including two awards earned this year for the penultimate film installment, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.”
“Twilight” stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were on hand to pick up this year’s batch of boards, which included the ultimate choice award, the teen-fueled show’s version of a lifetime achievement award.
“It’s amazing you guys are still around and just as strong and just as loyal,” Lautner said over screams from the crowd.
Stewart was honored as the choice romance movie actress for “Breaking Dawn - Part 1” and as choice female summer movie star for “Snow White & the Huntsman.”
Other multiple winners included the movie “The Hunger Games,” actress Emma Stone, TV show “Pretty Little Liars,” the British boy band One Direction, CW show “The Vampire Diaries,” and singers Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, who picked up her 20th trophy - the most ever won by a female artist.
In the latest issue ofSelf Magazine, the 19-year-old [DEMI LOVATO] opened up about something that cuts deep, and that’s literally cutting yourself.
“There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin — that if I didn’t do something physical to match the way I felt inside, I would explode,” she explained about her issues prior to entering a treatment center in late 2010. “I cut myself to take my mind off that. I just didn’t care what happened. I had no fear.”
Aside from cutting, Demi has had bouts with an eating disorder and a bipolar disorder. In fact, in her documentary Stay Strong, the pop star divulged how all of those issues are still an everyday struggle, but it’s something she works at on a daily basis.
She says:
“You can choose to work toward happiness or not. I used to expect it to come to me, but it takes more than seeing a therapist once a week.”
Bravo to Lovato! EVERYONE struggles no matter how many zero’s are in your bank account… struggle doesn’t discriminate! I salute her for speaking out. Hopefully it will encourage others to do the same. xo @RozOonTheGo
