Although he has yet to set a new release date for his proper debut album, Mississippi rapper/producer Big K.R.I.T. is staying busy on the mixtape front, dropping a 17-track effort titled “4Eva N A Day,” on Monday (Mar. 5). Click here for the free download.
“4Eva N A Day” is the most autonomous release yet from the rapper: K.R.I.T. (real name: Justin Scott) produced the entirety of the album, and there are no guest vocalists. The tape follows his 2010 breakout “K.R.I.T. Wuz Here” and last year’s “Return of 4Eva,” all of which preview his long-awaited Def Jam debut, “Live From The Underground.”
In an October interview, K.R.I.T. professed that the multiple album delays were ultimately “for the best.” “You know some sample clearances here and there, some features that I need to take care of… It’s just getting the quality right and getting the ideas right, making it all work and fit together,” he said.
