RAVENS At The White House! Obama Congratulates!

On Wednesday, President Barack Obama welcomed the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens to the White House.

He congratulated the players and praised the team for the the goal-line stand that closed the deal for their Super Bowl trophy and for their charitable work in blue collar Baltimore. He singled out QB Joe Flacco for winning the Super Bowl most valuable player award and a long touchdown pass in a playoff game in Denver. All of which helped him earn a $100 million-plus contract in the off-season! “Good timing with that contract up,” Obama said.

In the above picture, he’s shaking the hand of linebacker Ray Lewis, who he cited for returning from injury to lead the defense in the playoffs.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave Barack, the 44th president, the traditional team jersey emblazoned “MR PRESIDENT” with No. 44. Ha!

If they sought to intimidate us, to terrorize us … it should be pretty clear right now that they picked the wrong city to do it ….
We may be momentarily knocked off our feet … But we’ll pick ourselves up. We’ll keep going. We will finish the race.

I have SO much respect for this man. The way he moves .. The words he speaks .. Yes, I respect OUR President! I feel so blessed to be alive and experiencing a day and age where we’re living Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream and where we not only have a smart, intelligent leader in President Barack Obama, but that we relate to him a little more because he looks like Us. Some thought MLK’s dream wouldn’t be .. some thought an African American president wouldn’t be .. but look where we stand today! And I must express .. it’s NOT about the color .. it’s about POSSIBILITIES. Anything is possible.
