NFL To Get Award For Suicide Prevention Efforts:

What a great honor to have! The NFL will be honored for it’s efforts to reduce suicides after the launched NFL Life Line. The league has surely had it’s share of high-profile suicides in recent years so I think this was a very smart move and I too, applaud them for this.

According to reports, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will give the NFL its Humanitarian Award on May 8; to be accepted by All-Pro defensive back Troy Vincent.

“NFL Life Line is a website and crisis hotline number for former and current players, their family members, and all league and team employees. It includes an anonymous and confidential self-check quiz and online chat that allows individuals to interact with trained professionals.” It also has resources listed for depression and suicide warning signs. In addition videos from former players are featured encourage those in distress to ‘make the call” for help.

I love this! Bravo. xo @rozOonTheGo

STEELERS Match PATRIOTS Offer on WR Sanders!

Wide Receiver EMMANUEL SANDERS will be staying with the PITTSBURGH STEELERS. The Steelers organization announced on Sunday that they matched the $2.5 million offer that the New England Patriots made to the restricted free agent. If the Steelers had let Sanders go they would have received a third-round pick from the Patriots.

Instead, they kept the 26 year-old Sanders who caught 44 passes for 626 yards and a touchdown in 2012 and ‘was the only wide receiver to appear in all 16 games for Pittsburgh in 2012.’

”Glad the business side is out of the way,” Sanders posted on his Twitter account Sunday evening. ”Now it’s back to playing football and bringing number 7 back to Pittsburgh.”

Training camps open in July! I am SO ready for the season to begin! I  have been invited to and will be attending a few training camps, so that will tide me over. Hopefully! To read more click the source. xo @rozOonThGo

GOOGLE Improves Sports-Related Search Results!

According to TechCrunch, Google plans to improve it’s sports-related search results with interactive league schedules and more stats! They recently began embedding it’s March Madness bracket into search results. Click the link above to check out the full range of changes that I’m personally happy with! Notable sports sites however, won’t be so happy about these changes as it will take away some of their traffic.  xo @rozOonTheGo

IN STEELERS NATION NEWS:
“On Tuesday, the Steelers re-signed WR Plaxico Burress just before the start of free agency, keeping the 6’5” receiver as a big target for Ben Roethlisberger.”  Go here to read the great article and read more about Plaxico’s love for his teammates and the Steelers organization. I’m sad about how our budget is affecting our line-up, but I still have hope in my guys! xo @rozOonThego
Burress Speaks:

“I get to come back and play with Ben and everyone there,” said Burress. “I am definitely excited. It’s beautiful. I was telling my wife it’s great that I know where I am going to be now. It’s a big stress reliever. We know where we are going to be. She is happy, her family is excited. She gets to go back to Pittsburgh, which is where she is from. We can start making plans for what we want to do. “For me to get off the board the first day of free agency I think it says a lot about the Steelers and what kind of role they have in mind for me. I want to go in and have fun and fulfill it. I am happy to be back. This is where I wanted to be. I couldn’t ask for more.”

NFL Player Working Fast-Food During Off-Season: Huh?

It’s true! Even though rookie Terrance Ganaway makes $390,000 a year he’s spending his vacation (off-season) working minimum wage at Jimmy Johns in Waco, Texas!

The Rams running back joked on twitter that he needed a job and well, he got one. He stated, ‘I just wanted to stay fit, stay out of trouble .. try to save and not spend a lot of money.’ He notes that he has too much free time, he’d like to tell his kids someday that he worked two jobs to put them through school and he said the pay at Jimmy John’s is ‘really good.’ Well, I commend him! I’m not sure I’d do that, but hey, to each his own! xo @rozOonThego

Follow Ganaway on twitter @RepChrist24 and @jimmyjohns .. You’ll see the tweets of his first paycheck from JJ & them welcoming Ganaway to the team! Love it mayne!

MAJOR SHOUT OUT TO THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS! The second half was yours and you played hard! I didn’t like the ‘no call’ in the end, neither did your fans. Focus on the upcoming season guys! xo @RozOonThego
P.s. My team (STEELERS) didn’t play in the big game so I was rooting for the 9ers, although I had a strong feeling that the Ravens would win; not because I felt they were better, it’s just a feeling I had. In any case, Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens. #salute

SANDRA BULLOCK Cheers On MICHAEL OHER!

First and foremost, let me just put it out there that ‘The Blind Side’ is one of my favorite movies to watch for inspiration! Every time I watch it I’m inspired to go and help someone. Sandra Bullock nailed her part as Oher’s ‘no-nonsense adoptive mom Leigh Anne Tuoy. She won an Oscar for her role. And I can’t write this post without mentioning my boy SJ! Loved that kid! Ok, so back to the story. According to People, Sandra and her son ‘showed their support for the Baltimore Ravens’ offensive tackle Michael Oher - whose journey from life on the streets to football success was chronicled in the film ‘The Blind Side.’

Sandra and her 3 year-old-son Louis cheered Oher on with his family from the stands. How amazing is that!

“They stayed for the whole game and seemed to have a great time,” an eyewitness tells PEOPLE.

“Louis did watch some of it, but he also wandered around a bit. Sandra seemed very focused on the game. She was cheering loudly and acted very happy.”

Congratulations are in order for the Baltimore Ravens who came out the winners in the Super Bowl XLVII matchup against the San Francisco 49ers 34-31. xo @rozOonTheGo
