What a great honor to have! The NFL will be honored for it’s efforts to reduce suicides after the launched NFL Life Line. The league has surely had it’s share of high-profile suicides in recent years so I think this was a very smart move and I too, applaud them for this.
According to reports, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will give the NFL its Humanitarian Award on May 8; to be accepted by All-Pro defensive back Troy Vincent.
“NFL Life Line is a website and crisis hotline number for former and current players, their family members, and all league and team employees. It includes an anonymous and confidential self-check quiz and online chat that allows individuals to interact with trained professionals.” It also has resources listed for depression and suicide warning signs. In addition videos from former players are featured encourage those in distress to ‘make the call” for help.
I love this! Bravo. xo @rozOonTheGo
