Electronic dance music phenom Avicii is bringing his head-shaped DJ booth and sweeping vocal anthems to New York’s Radio City Music Hall, as part of a fall tour that will take him from colleges to festivals to concert venues.
The Sept. 27 show, which goes on sale this Friday, Aug. 17, will be the iconic venue’s first featuring a DJ headliner, putting Avicii alongside EDM acts who have claimed that same “first” at other meaningful venues, like Swedish House Mafia (Madison Square Garden in New York), Tiësto (Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.) and Kaskade (Staples Center in L.A., Calif.).
“There’s a bunch of dates [on the tour] I’m looking forward to, but definitely New York most of all,” Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, told Billboard exclusively.
