Skrillex and Kanye West have been in the studio together, and according to the EDM star, one of the songs they collaborated on will be featured on the rapper’s “new album.”
In an interview with the Daily Beast, Skrillex confirmed that he had teamed up with ‘Ye saying,”I did some music with Kanye and from what I know, it’s actually going to be the first song on his new album.” Skrillex didn’t specify whether the collaboration will be featured on G.O.O.D. Music’s Sept. 4 release, “Cruel Summer,” or Kanye’s upcoming sixth studio album.
In March, Skrillex told Rolling Stone that he had flown to Las Vegas on West’s private jet, and that the two had worked on a few tracks in their hotel. At this weekend’s Hard Summer Festival in L.A., Skrillex promised that one of the tracks would soon see the light of day.
The electronic hitmaker continues his summer tour at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado tonight (Aug. 9), wrapping up the outing at Jay-Z’s Made in America festival on Sept. 1.
