Although I can’t join them this time around, I do plan to try-out the Vegan life in the near future. HOV blogged, yes, blogged about embarking on a ‘plant-based’ - Vegan diet for 22 days - giving up meat & diary. See what he had to say below:
Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you’ve found the way.
On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a “plant-based breakfast” everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought…
Why now? There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day…It just feels right!
So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse. I will post my progress… Any professional vegans out there that have any great food spots please help out! Please ha. I don’t know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We’ll see…

Paul Walker’s family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends,” it read. “They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul’s charity Reach Out Worldwide.”
The statement continued: “It’s comforting for them to know that the son, brother, and father they love so much is equally adored, respected, and appreciated by so many. Paul founded the organization with the genuine desire to help others, and it’s important to his family to keep his memory alive through ROWW.”
This is still very hard for me to believe. A very tragic ending to such a young life. He was such an awesome - down to earth guy. Please, if you can, donate to Paul’s personal charity. Rest in Peace. xo Roz-O

Sadly, the 16 year-old Toronto native who’s remembered for her incredible message, passed away on Monday. I blogged about Olivia Wise back in October and posted a video of her covering Katy Perry’s hit single ‘Roar’. The teen was battling brain cancer, but mustered up the strength to record a beautiful, tear-jerking ballad; making it her own. The video swept the internet and received over 1 million views on youtube.
The cover was brought to Katy Perry’s attention and she sent a personalized message to Olivia saying: I love you. A lot of people love you, and that’s why your video got to me and it moved everyone that saw it.” It definitely moved me and I was saddened to hear that she had lost her battle with brain cancer. However, I smiled when watching the video again, seeing how courageous she was inspires me. During what could’ve been her darkest days she found reason to smile, to keep going. We all can learn a lot from her.
Olivia’s cover can be purchased on iTunes. According to the Toronto Sun, all proceeds go to brain tumor research via the Liv Wise Fund. Support if you can. Rest In Peace Olivia Wise. Thanks for sharing. xo Roz-O
